Charles Rennie Mackintosh is a celebrated figure in the Arts and Crafts Movement. He took much inspiration from Scottish traditions and blended them with the flourish of Art Nouveau and the simplicity of Japanese forms. Mackintosh is most closely associated with the design and manufacture of furniture which shows a strong connection to the Arts and Crafts Movement, but with his distinctive touch and eye toward simplicity.
